Not only do they fire from those areas, a few years back, they had built launch positions in the houses, which, when the IDF does counterfire, is surely going to kill civilians, and the terrorists once again prove they will kill anyone, so long as they can kill Israelis, too….nothing new here, except the media regularly is aghast every time this happens, and then blames the IDF for not being more careful in picking out targets (and that’s the polite version).

I guess Green Helmet Guy is out of retirement by now.

Plus ca change…

It’s easy to say the Palestinians are OK with this but in reality they are having this kind of behavior imposed on them.

They suffer far more abuse at the hands of their own ‘leadership’ than they do at the hands of the Israelis. No one agrees to putting their kids in harms way- no one (save the inevitable lunatics).

The price for voicing objection or outrage at being made targets is ultimate.

The only thing worse than the world’s cynical naivete on this one (& yes, that’s precisely what it is, insane tho’ it sounds) is, as usual, the suffering of the innocent. Hamas BRAGS about this crap & the world shrugs that off & blames Israel. Between the Middle East & the American Right, I sometimes swear I’m through the Looking Glass…!!

Two things.

Now Hamas are terrorists and evil but they are not stupid. Considering the correlation of forces what other choice have they but to fight the way they do. If they moved out into the open they’d be blown to bits in seconds.

Secondly, if you look at a map of Gaza there isn’t exactly a lot of empty space in it. Even a small CEP means that civilians are going to suffer.

Shrugs. Now come the usual invective about ‘supporting terrorists.’ It’s why my view of the Middle East is best explained by this picture.

It will probably end up the same way as well.

Hamas is evil, and it’s hard for me to feel sorry for the Palestinians too, given that they voted this group of monsters into power.

Quite Concur.

They could choose coexistence and peace, but I guess you don’t see that as an option worthy of their consideration.

Uh, does this really mean that they should aim at women & children, & hide behind their own? THAT’s the proof of their evil!

Except that they go out of their way to put their munitions in mosques & schools & ambulances.

Shrugs. Now come the usual invective about ‘supporting terrorists.

You make it hard to bypass.

I get an error message.

I also agree with _RememberTonyC

I also ask myself what choice they really had, considering who has the guns…? I mean, do you really think their elections are like ours? I’ve seen what they do to people they suspect of :collaborating (as in, who turn in terrorists or don’t join terrorists). If ever the UN should go into a place…! Then again, they’ve been raised on propaganda, so, who knows? Sigh.

Hamas may have been fairly elected into power, but I can’t imagine that they will let themselves be elected out of power! Assuming that the Palistinians of Gaza come to their senses (about the self-defeating policies and direction of their leadership), they will find that Hamas will be suddenly reluctant to hold free and fair elections. Shocka….
